Curriculum

Prepare for AI-driven roles in finance with a career-centric curriculum that blends traditional financial theory with cutting-edge AI technologies. In this 24 month, part-time course, you’ll develop an advanced understanding of the subjects shaping the finance sector, including financial analysis, risk management, portfolio management, corporate governance, artificial intelligence and FinTech. 

The online masters in finance from Surrey is designed for working professionals – with or without a formal background in finance. 

As a student in the course, you will:

Admissions

To meet the entry requirements, applicants must have a minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in accountancy, banking, business administration, economics, engineering, finance, management, mathematics or science, or a recognised equivalent international qualification. One year of full-time work experience in an accountancy or financial role may be considered if you do not have a finance-related degree.  

To be considered for admission into the online MSc Finance course, you will need to submit the following materials:

  • Online application (no fee)

  • Scanned copies of signed/stamped qualifications (certificates or transcripts) to show how you meet, or expect to meet, the entry requirements

  • Personal statement of 500 to 1,000 words, which should include any further information you feel is relevant to your application, including your current interests in the subject area and an explanation for why you wish to undertake this course

  • Evidence of your English language level (if English is not your first language) 

  • Optional: Résumé/CV. If you choose to upload this document, please provide information about any relevant experience (paid/voluntary) that may support your application, and list your most recent position first.
