Tuition and fees are subject to change and may increase each academic year. Tuition does not include student fees, technology platform licensing or support services. Learners are also responsible for travel and accommodation costs related to any in-person immersions or residentials, if applicable.

Curriculum

The interdisciplinary curriculum equips participants with critical knowledge and skills in various aspects of education from learning design to leadership. Furnished with diverse pedagogical perspectives and philosophies, it emphasises critical reflection and evidence-based practice. The curriculum is designed to develop advanced and highly transferable communication skills and research capabilities – preparing participants to navigate complex educational contexts and drive meaningful change.

By the programme’s conclusion, participants in the online MA Education will have worked on developing skills like:

Admissions

Applicants must have a minimum of a Lower Second Class Honours (2:2) UK undergraduate degree or a recognised equivalent international qualification to meet the entry requirements for the online MA Education programme. If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence of your English language level. 

To be considered for admission into the programme, you will need to submit the following: 

  • Online application 

  • Personal statement of 500 to 1000 words 

  • Evidence of your English language proficiency, if English is not your first language

This programme is subject to approval. This means that it has received initial agreement from the University and is currently undergoing a detailed final approval exercise, through the University’s quality assurance processes. These processes are a requirement for all Higher Education Institutions within the UK, to ensure that programmes are of the highest standard. Occasionally there may be instances where the University may delay or not approve the introduction of the programme.

The online MA Education programme gives participants the opportunity to conduct an independent research project that explores an education topic in depth. This will hone your research and analysis skills, inviting you to engage with novel ideas and apply yourself to solving educational challenges while contributing meaningfully to the field of education. 

The experienced and approachable lecturers that you’ll be learning from are active researchers in the field, meaning that you will refine your skills in a research-led environment. The research project also presents an opportunity for you to develop transferable skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis, Open Research practices and presentation skills.
