Admissions

The online MSc Marketing programme is ideal for applicants who are already in the workforce, and have some or no experience studying or working in marketing. The programme empowers participants either to develop new skills and transition into a marketing role for the first time, or to validate their existing marketing expertise with a master’s certificate that could open new doors.

The following materials are required for your application:

  • 2:2 Honours degree (UK or equivalent);

  • Online application (no fee);

  • Transcripts from previous academic institutions;

    • During the application process, unofficial transcripts will be accepted. However, you will need to have official transcripts sent over from all of your previous academic institutions prior enrolment.

  • A letter of recommendation from either an academic who has taught or supervised you directly (if you are still studying at degree level or equivalent) or a professional (if you have been out of education for a few years). If you are supplying the letter as the applicant, the reference should be on headed paper with a clear date and a signature. If the letter is provided directly by the referee, it should be sent from an official institutional email address;

  • A personal statement of 1-2 pages (either single or double-spaced) that expresses your motivation for pursuing this programme, outlines your professional goals and highlights what you wish to gain from the programme, and;

  • A CV that includes your academic background, the name of your employer(s), dates employed, your title and job responsibilities/description. Your application should also validate any gaps in your work experience.

If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence of your English language proficiency with a score of 6.5 or higher from IELTS, and a minimum of 6.0 in each element of the test. Other English language qualifications may be considered. We may ask you to provide a recognised English language qualification depending on your nationality and where you have studied previously.

Official test scores are not required for the submission of an application, but they are required before classes begin.
